Chapter 5: The Great Health Insurance Adventure's Successful Conclusion

Jane and Dick had decided that they would actually complete the entire quote process with three different services. This way, not only would they be able to review the quote result differences with each company, but they would also be able to compare how each service followed through to the health insurance purchasing phase.

Each of these services stated that as part of the quote process, a health insurance agent would contact them. Dick and Jane believed that this would also allow them to determine which health insurance agent they would be most comfortable with.

As you may recall, back in Chapter 2 Dick and Jane had completed a quote with one of the quoting service providers. They decided to go back to that service and follow through with the next steps. The quoting service had asked them to select four out of the many quotes ranging from $229/month to $643/month. This time they knew that the right four to select would be four from the middle tier of rates. They believed that they could afford to pay a monthly premium in this range, and where more confident that these quotes would be from reputable companies.

Jane and Dick were not concerned whether they had chosen the right insurance plan for ellagic acid family, as they felt that this is the value that the health insurance agent should be bringing to the table. They completed quotes from two other quoting service providers (both indicating that Dick and Jane would be contacted by a health insurance agent).

Interestingly, they were right on with their decision to explore the services of three different agents. The first agent called them over the phone and asked Dick and Jane a few questions, trying to determine whether they were hot prospects or just information seekers. He buy bulk zinc gluconate powder also interested in how much they would be willing to pay for their health insurance. When asked whether the agent would be willing to visit Jane and Dick for a face to face meeting, the agent went on to explain how busy he was and that he would try to schedule them in over the next couple of weeks.

Their experience with the next two agents was totally different. Both of these agents made contact over the phone as well, but asked Dick and Jane if it would be all right for them to drop by for a visit. This is exactly what Jane and Dick wanted, so the appointments were made on different evenings in the coming week.

Both visits went extremely well. Each agent seemed to be more interested in Dick and Jane's family and the needs that they were trying to address, than with the details of the quotes. Both agents offered to go back to their offices with this family information and to set up another visit where they could review the details of a few health insurance alternatives. The agents understood what price range Dick and Jane were comfortable with and promised to find the best health insurance solutions within that range.

The return visits from both agents gave Dick and Jane the comfort that they were getting full value from these agents and that the agents had the best interests on Dick and Jane's family in mind. Both agents took the time to review each option in detail and outlines the advantages and potential disadvantages of each.

Neither agent had pressured Jane and Dick for an immediate decision, so it was now in their court to decide on the health insurance package that they were most comfortable with. They also knew that their health insurance needs would likely change over time and so they also considered the agent that they believed they could develop a longer term relationship with.

Within days they made their decision, thanked the agent that they decided not to proceed with, and moved forward with the purchase of their health insurance plan. They felt confident that they had made the right choice and that should they encounter any difficulties, their agent would be willing to help.
